Toronto, Canada – March 13, 2017 – Adrenaline Toronto and David Carruthers are pleased to announce that the original comedy web series My Roommate’s an Escort will be available on YouTube Monday April 3rd. The 11-part web series was created by and stars Katie Uhlmann (Workin’ Moms), who also serves as Director, and Trish Rainone (The Void). David Carruthers (Workin’ Moms, Murdoch Mysteries) serves as Executive Producer.

My Roommate’s an Escort follows the misadventures of Heather (Trish Rainone), a non-confrontational, small town girl from Sault Ste Marie, as she tries to figure out whether her new roommate, Kesha (Katie Uhlmann) is an escort. Instead of confronting Kesha about her employment situation, Heather tries a variety of passive-aggressive tactics to find out more about Kesha’s past. Each time Heather attempts to get closer to the truth, she ends up getting further from it and consequently gets dragged into the comedic world of the sketchy characters involved in Kesha’s life.

“Living with other people under one roof is a universal reality. When you live with someone, whether it is a stranger, a family member, or a friend, you find out about the skeletons in their closet. Sometimes you get tangled up in them, which is really what we explore in our series. We are so excited to launch a comedy series directed and created by women, with female protagonists, and a diverse cast that also consists of a 50/50 ratio of male to female characters,” said Katie Uhlmann and Trish Rainone, creators and co-stars.
